Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 77 year old mother has had pain behind an eye. She went to her eye doc today and was told an MRI would need to be done because he didnt think it was an eye problem. She said he asked about her balance and she told him it had not been perfect. She has been seeing this doc for years due to an eye condition she has suffered from for around 10 years. I know this is broad...but what could they be looking for?
Hi, It seems that she might be having some eye related problem like Glaucoma or some optic nerve related problem where she might have unstable balance and vertigo. Ophthalmoscopy will be important to know optic nerve, retina and about occular vascular circulation. Afterwards MRI brain can be done. Ok and take care.
