Suggest Treatment For Pain Behind The Left Ear That Radiates Towards The Cheek
I have pain behind my left ear. The pain radiates upward toward my cheek bone and sometimes to my eye. The left side of my throat also ache. I recently has a tooth pulled and was given ampecillin and ibuprofen. It has been 5 days and my head still ache with pain that comes and goes. My tooth does not hurt.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain behind the left ear that radiates towards the cheek and along left side of throat as well after tooth extraction seems to be damage to facial nerve i.e nerve which supplies facial area.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain complete oral hygiene and take muscle relaxant to reduce symptoms. You should visit oral and maxillofacial surgeon once and get complete examination done and start mouth stretching exercises. you should try to whistle without leaking air. Go for facial muscle physical therapy as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
