Suggest Treatment For Pain Below Right Rib Cage

I have pain in my area below my right rib cage--some times it just feels like bruising--if I didn t know any better I would think my gallbladder is still in tack....some times it goes away all together and then other times it comes back--radiates to my left but not as bad as right side-it is not severe pain--irritating pain to say the best way to explain. Sometimes after I eat certain things I immediately have diarrhea within a 1/2 hr or so

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to gastritis. But problems like gallstones should be ruled out. An ultrasound examination will be helpful for this. Taking proton pump inhibitors like esomeprazole for 1 month will be helpful for gastritis. Avoid fatty, and greasy foods, excess coffee and carbonated drinks. Using hot water bags on abdomen will be helpful if is gastritis. If there is no improvement then a consultation with a gastroenterologist should be done.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
