General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The knee pain below cap can be considered from various possible issues as ligament spasm, implant part impinging over the subcutaneous regions or else. It is essential to get evaluation for range of motions, joint movements and difficulty in day to day activity for the final diagnosis and management, till that time, helpful measures will be as:
- Local application of analgesic spray or ointment with Diclofenac, Linseed oil
- Medications as aceclofenac, piroxicam or ketorolac
- Local application of heating pad
- Assisted physiotherapy
- Weight control
- Avoid prolong weight bearing or excess cycling type maneuvers (if involved)

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
