Hi I went swimming about 2 hours ago and I tried diving towards the deep end and my ear popped. I asked how to fix it from a life guard and he said "Try laying on the side where you ear popped when you get home". When I got home I tried it. I feel asleep for about a hour or so and my ear still hurts. Lots of water came out, and it it still coming out. There's still pain in my ear, and water coming out. Please Help.
You seem to have injured your ear drum and in any case you need to consult an ENT as soon as possible so that a proper treatment can be started as soon as the state of the drum is ascertained.
You may take a pain killer like paracetamol and also start an antibiotic like amox-clav and anti histamine like levocetrizine in consultation with your doctor.
You should not allow any water to enter the ear and also do not put any drops. Do not try to clean the ears by yourself as you may end up causing more injury
Do not worry, it is a simple problem which can be easily corrected.
