Hello,

Metrorrhagia like that does prompt a work up by a doctor, as you could be suffering from hormone disturbances, endometriosis, infection and anatomical changes. If this has been so for a long time you are likely to suffer from iron deficiency and anemia.

I would recommend paracetamol 1 gram 4 times a day + Ibuprofen 400 mg 3 times a day for your pain together with iron and D-vitamin supplement for your suspected anemia. Depending on the results of the doctor workup you might consider hormonal birth control, as that often can ease symptoms of metrorrhagia.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
