Suggest Treatment For Pain In Arms And Shoulders

My daughter was at basketball practice tonight. She passed out. She describes symptoms before as her arms and shoulders hurt, she felt like she couldn t breathe and heard herself wheezing, then she saw colors and then everything went black. She was sweating very heavily, she was pale and shaking. Thinking she was overheated but some of the symptoms concern me. I don t think this is a hospital trip, but obviously I can t get her to the doctor until monday. She is supposed to go to practice again tomorrow, should I keep her out or does this sound like overheating and or dehydration?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to dehydration due to basketball practice.

You can do a complete blood test and a glycemic level to exclude other possible causes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
