Suggest Treatment For Pain In Back Radiating To Groin Area

Hi, I am a 47 year old male, my problem is backache that is extending down to the groin and left testicle which is really painful and very uncomfortable. This is my first time to have this and I just don t have a clue what caused it? Will be grateful if you can show some light on this problem.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. Urinary stones can gives such pain syndrome. A local examination with a General surgeon followed by ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis will help to rule out the condition.Other conditions which can cause this can be varicocele and inguinal hernia. In case of kidney stones if it is small taking more water, forced diuresis and potassium citrate will be helpful. Urinary antispasmodics like flavoxate will be helpful in relieving pain. Taking cranberry juice and barley water also will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
