Suggest Treatment For Pain In Foot And Toe While Having Diabetes
I have had diabetes for about 25 years. I am on a insulin pump. I have been having sharp shooting pains in my left foot and one toe. It occurs about every two minutes. It lasts about two days. I am sure this is caused from diabetes. What can be done to help this? Thank you, Walter Pickel
As you got a history of 25 years of diabetes, Pain in the foot and toe is a manifestation of diabetes as the disease is a progressive type.
nerve damage in the peripherals(leg, foot) will usually occur in diabetes. under controlled diabetes will increase the nerve damage. kindly do check your sugar level,HBA1c,Doppler and nerve conduction test for your foot will rule out the condition of nerve and blood vessel.
