Suggest Treatment For Pain In Groin Area Radiating Towards Knee And Leg

Good Day. I have been having a pain in my right groin area but it is a pain that extends down into my leg and stops at my knee. For the last two evenings it has kept me awake It is on a scale of 1-10 about a steady 6 but can I move about and go to work but it is very uncomfortable. What might be causing the pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Pain in the groin radiating down the legs to the knee could be caused due to 'inguinal hernia' or due to pathology in testis like 'hydrocele' or infection like 'orchitis'.
Kindly get yourself clinically evaluated by consulting Surgeon.
Accordingly, treatment can be planned and executed.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
