Suggest Treatment For Pain In Hips And Tingling Sensation In Leg
Pain in right sciatic nerve, and hip. Heat in area, hotter than skin on left side. Extension of leg hurts down to foot. Tingling sensation in leg and foot when lifting a shopping bag. Bowel movement increases pain. Continued for 3+ monthes. Ice packs help, paracetamol combined with Ibuprofen helps for aprox 3 hours.
As per my clinical experience, the pain in hips and tingling leg indicates significant effects of nerve compression (right sciatic). Though there will be primary relief with analgesic and other medications, if the symptomatic severity is great, consideration of decompression surgery is mandatory at this stage after discussion with treating neurologist.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
