Suggest Treatment For Pain In Iliofemoral Ligament
Hello sir..i m. Suffeing from.pain.in.this.iliofemoral lig region.since 2 months..two monthsa back.i.danced.a.lot in a wedding..since thn this prob has started..i m not able to put complete weight.on.my right.leg..if i try to do.so.i get a sudden.electricshock kind.of.pain.in right iliofemoral region.i ate tab indomethacine and tab etoricoxib for 10 days..nw m.on.tab lornoxicam for 10 days. Xray hip jt right.side is normal..when m.under effect of medicine,pain.s.nil..after the course within 5 days it again starts hurting. Should i.get mri.done???? My uric acid level.is.normal and RA factor s negarive..but ESR is 40.. Is it.possible that m developing arthritis???? M.24 years old.female..waht should.i do next..waiting for.repl
It is indeed quite unusual to have iliofemoral ligament pain at 24 years of age. Since the pain has persisted for more than 2 months and there is no significant pain reduction with analgesics, the next logical step would be to do an MRI of the hip joints. I would suggest you to consult your physician and request him about the idea of doing an MRI of pelvis with both hop joints.( usullay done both hips for comparison).Also an ESR of 40 in an otherwise normal individual can suggest inflammation or mild infection which can be ruled out via MRI.

Since the pain has persisted for more than 2 months and there is no significant pain reduction with analgesics, the next logical step would be to do an MRI of the hip joints.
