Hello madam, from the history you have given, well uou need to take medications to control your cough first, as it increases your abdominal pressure and further increases the pain and sometimes leads to gaping of the sutures.I would suggest you to consult your doctor to have a check up to make sure that the wound is fine and will be prescribed some analgesics. Also would suggest you not to bend or lift any weights and make make sure you have a proper back support whenever you sit so as to avoid pressure over the abdomen . hope i was helpful to you.
