Suggest Treatment For Pain In Jaws, Head And Ear

I m having extreme pain in my jaw, head, ear (this is the second time). Both Gp and dentist told me it wasn t ear infection or toothache. Getting really frustrated to not be able to diagnose. I believe I have a clogged Eustachian tube that is very near the nerve that runs through my jaw. What can I do?

Hi.
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

A per your complain pain in jaw, head and ear in case when the there is no ear or tooth infection is detected can be due to some disorders related to the jaw joint leading to condition known as Temporomandibular joint disorder or it can be due to nerve induced pain as in case of Trigeminal neuralgia..
You need a specialist for making a proper diagnosis, therefore you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and get treated according to the cause..
As of now you can take painkillers like Tramadol for pain relief..
In case if it is due to jaw joint then a combination of anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen and muscle relaxant like Tizanidine and also physiotherapy and mouth guards can help..
In case of nerve related pain neurotic painkillers like Carbamazipine, Gabapantin etc can be advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
