Suggest Treatment For Pain In Knee, Shoulder And Hand
I have back pain hip pain knee pain ankle pain shoulder pain left arm and hand pain neck on left hand side and pain in one spot in back of head . Already been in hospital heart normal ,head x Ray normal ,chest x Ray normal and I do not have arthritis or swelling or Ms , I am a type 1 diabetic and the pain is getting worse .
I welcome you here at HCM and can understand your problems.
Such kind of pains in the absence of arthritis, MS, negative investigations are typical of due to the complications of the diabetes. Your blood sugar levels doesn't seem to be normal. Elevetaed blood sugar levels due to lack/low dose insuline causes muscles to cramp and lactic acid accumulation more than normal. Muscles need glucose to work and resting muscles need insuline to push in the glucose in muscles. Exercising muscles on the other hand dont need insuline to push the glucose in the muscles needed for their proper functioning.
General malaise and multiple area body pains is the result. HBA1c in such patients is very good diagnostic test. I suggest you to go for HA1c test from local laboratory and come up with a follow up question or consult your treating physician for interpretation and treatment.
Hope it helps. Have a good day.
Regards! Dr. Hanif USA
