General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Sorry to hear that you slipped and fell amidst work. Presently, you are experiencing pain in the lower back, buttocks and legs. You have been 3 weeks on therapy but you still have pain. Your symptoms are indicative of developing sciatica. Sciatica commonly presents with pain which runs from the lower back and through the buttocks before branching down each leg.

This condition usually occurs due to herniated disk. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an orthopedist. Get X-ray, CT scan, MRI, EMG, CT- myelogram done to detect the pathology so that treatment can be started at the earliest. You may have to get neurological test, leg raise test, gait monitoring, etc., done. You will be given conservative treatment, therapy and surgery if required.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
