Suggest Treatment For Pain In My Left Forearm And Four Fingers

I have this pain in my left forearm, about four fingers from my wrist. When I put a couple of fingers on it you can feel, almost hear the muscle expand and contract when I flex my wrist. Moderately painful and has a little swelling. It s not at a joint, it s the top part of the forearm, (the hairy part). I ve been doing a lot of painting lately.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the wrist. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen three times a day. I also suggest using a brace to maintain the area immobilized. If the symptoms continue, I suggest to see a neurologist for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
