Suggest Treatment For Pain In My Left Upper Back, Left Arm And Elbow While Having Arthritis
I have been experiencing pain in my left upper back (shoulder area) in the middle of the bone which goes around to my left chest and also my left arm to my elbow. It is not constant, it only happens when I start walking a distance and about 15-20 minutes of walking the pain would then subside. It seems to be happening more often than usual. I do have arthritis of the left neck C2-C7 and my doctors tends to believe it is the arthritis pain that I am experiencing, but I think it may be something else. Please advise.
Well, in arthritis there is inflammation of the joints. As you are having at the cervical level there are much of the chances that the muscles originating from the spine and the surrounding structures must have got weaken. Due to which when you walk for a couple of minutes there are chances of swinging movement in the arms which in turn will move the shoulder blade bone (scapula) and the muscles will land into fatigue soon.
I will advice to do neck muscle strengthening exercises which you can check on google anytime and also female pushups which will in turn help you to regain the muscle endurance and also the required strength. By this your secondary problems arising due to arthritis can be controlled and a near normalcy can be achieved.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
