Hello,
You have pain in the neck and lower back and presently you have nausea and your head is spinning. The symptoms are indicative of Whiplash, though such symptoms are also seen in
spinal stenosis, degenerative changes - arthritis,
cervical spondylosis, etc. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get X-ray, CT, MRI done to assess any damage or inflammation in the soft tissues,
spinal cord, or nerves.
The treating doctor may suggest PET scan to study the damage to the brain and other areas. You will be treated accordingly with painkillers (naproxen/
acetaminophen, one stat when needed) and muscle relaxants to reduce muscle spasms. Get connected to a physical therapist for
relaxation therapy and simple exercises to build strength and flexibility in your neck. Electronic nerve stimulation is equally effective. Get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
