Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed of pterygium some years ago but the opthalmologist said that there may not be need for surgery unless it begins to affect my sight. Recently I have been feeling pains in my right eye and now it feels like my right eyeball is pulling the right side of my brain. I feel the pull up to my ears and nasal area. What can I do?
The symptoms you had mentioned are mostly due to some infection in your right eye. For treatment you can take some antibiotic preferably cefadroxyl or ampoxin after an expert advice along with combiflam or ibugesic-plus for pain and redness. You can use gatiflox eye drops to put into your right eye. You can also do hot fomentation over right eye to reduce the pain and redness.
