Suggest Treatment For Pain In Right Side Chest

I am having some discomfort on the right side of my chest more in the center chest bone but towards the right up into my throat. I feel like I have to keep clearing my throat. The pain is mild but sore and tender to the touch. I have really bad back and neck issues which have flared up this week. I don t know if that could have something to do with it, or if maybe I strained the muscle but any chest pain makes me nervous. Could this be something extremely serious or am I just over reacting?

Hello,

Discomfort on right side of chest upto throat is likely to be due to trauma or muscular pain.

Muscular pain is usually accompanied by increase in pain during movement. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri
