Suggest Treatment For Pain In The RUQ Spreading Around My Chest

Hi there I have a pain at my right upper side of the body which is spreading around my chest most of the time for last three years, with discomfort in my stomach and intestines, frequent pains in stomach as well as, unstable defecation condition, I did colonoscopy, endoscopy, ultrasound, MRI and Ct scan and all required tests during the last three years, they just diagnosed irritation in stomach and acid reflex, I used different acid control capsules such as Dexilant, but not only nothing got better, but also I feel more pain and discomfort every day, I hardly can remember one single day without pain and totally hopeless at this point, I dont know what should I do

Hello,

As I noticed you already have been diagnosed with GERD and also have problems with constipation. You have already used medications to help with stomach problems. I did not notice any treatment for constipation.

I would recommend you to use Movicol 1-2 sachets a day to help your bowel movement be more regular and easier. Also, try to take plenty of fruit and vegetable with diet, keep active and drink plenty of fluids.

If you are not better with these measures and all the tests come out normal then you may use treatment for chronic pain such as amitryptiline. Your doctor may need to regularly follow you up if you start this medication so he can monitor the desired effect and adjust the dose as needed.
