Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Arms And Upper Bicep Area
I have a constant pain in both arms around the upper bicep area. I ve had the pain in the left arm for about 3 years. The right arm has now started hurting. I ve had blood work done in the last 2 months and everything was normal. I would like to know what might be going on with my arms.
Pain in the limbs can be related to different possible causes. It can be due to :(1)infection (2)trauma to the bones, muscles, tendons or ligaments (3)neuropathy- compression of the nerves or trauma to the nerves at any point along the path from the neck. (4)types of arthritis such as osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis or lupus
Blood work would have likely looked at infection and may also have explored the possibility of neuropathy.
You may need to consider other blood test if all of the aspects of neuropathy have not been done and also imaging of the neck, shoulders and arms. The neck and shoulders would be done to make sure that no changes in these areas are affecting the nerves heading to arms.
I hope this helps
