Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Clavicle That Radiates To Neck And Shoulder
I have recently had a cat scan of my neck that showed cysts and nodules on my thyroid. A biopsy was done last week and I am waiting on the results. If the nodule is malignant, will it be removed surgically or will I have radioactive iodine placed? But even if it is benign, I have pain in my clavicle that radiates up my neck and shoulder so I understand that too could be a reason to have this nodule removed. What are your thoughts?
They sometimes do the radiation first to shrink the masses present so that surgery would be more successful. This may be the option employed by your doctors.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
