Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Groin, Buttock And Knee
My husband was told he needs a hip replacement but I think more is going on. He has had intermittent pain in hip, groin, buttocks area with some tingling/pain going down to his knee. Symptoms vary and he has periods of no pain. He also bruised easily when I massaged the piriformis and gluteal muscles. Riding a stationnary bike and jacuzzi provide some relelief. Any thoughts?
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. Sign and symptoms of your disease are consistent with facet joint arthropathy. I would suggest you to have an MRI to ruled out other possibilities. Take Advil with two full glasses of water to relieve the pain. Epidural steriod injection followed by Lumber muscles strengthening excersizes settle the problem in more than 90 percent cases. Radiofrequency ablation is the last resort in treatment failure cases. Hope it helps best. Don't forget to rate this answer and close the discussion at Healthcare Magic. Take your best care. Regards Dr Ejaz
