Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Gums

What do I do if I have a tooth that is slowly falling out, and I have constant pain in my gums. I can't close my mouth all the way because the tooth is so far out, but it's not loose enough to pull out. I have no health insurance for right now, I'm working on getting it. What do I do to numb this very very sharp and constant pain?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM,

understanding your concern. As per your query you have problem of pain in the gums which is because of inflammation and ulceration of gingival mucosa as tooth is pulling it out. Need not to worry. Visit dentist once and get it examined. Go for extraction of that tooth if it is non restorable and if it is restorable start treatment as per that. Use listerine and betadine mouth wash. Go for curettage. Rinse mouth after every meal to prevent bacterial accumulation. If there is pain in gums apply anaesthetic gel as it will give numbing effect. Dentist may perform oral prophylaxis or may prescribe antibiotics along with anti inflammatory .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Get well Soon.
Best Wishes,
