Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Earlier this year I had a gall bladder surgery and then went back and had a stint removed 6 weeks later. After that a week later I could barely walk due to both of my knees. I went to the doctor and they twisted and moved my knees in all directions with no pain. It was only when I walked that I had pain. Now both of my heels hurt when I try to walk or if I have been sitting for awhile; when I stand. I can not get down on my knee or kneel down. My knee locks up. It is my right knee but both heels. I can go up stairs with no problem but coming down is an issue.
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to plantar fasciitis and may need orthopedic surgeon review.
Uric acid levels should also be done. X-ray to rule out bone resorption or tophi may be done.
B12, folic acid levels may be checked and replacement may be needed. Using Pregabalin at night can be helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
