Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Hip In An Elderly Person
My mom is 90 with hip pain. Dr and orthopedic Dr have sent her to PT, they ve also done ultrasound therapy, nothing helps. Stay shows some arthritis no breaks, she is on warfin to lower risk of blood clot, small ulcer in stomach. Otherwise good health for her age. can she use capsaican?
If her hip pain is caused by a muscle or tendon strain, osteoarthritis, or tendinitis, you can usually relieve it with over-the-counter pain medication such as acetaminophen or a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug such as ibuprofen or naproxen. She can take anything in diet.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
