Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Knee And Walking Issues
Yes i dont have pain in my knee but its a little ball i can feel on the outside of my knee and when im walking i feel a restriction so its rolling around in my knee when im walking i dont feel it unless it in a certain spot thats restricts my leg from fully extending.
You are experiencing a little ball on the outside of your knees that feels like rolling and causing walking issues. Your symptoms are indicative of chondromalacia patella. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an orthopedist and get certain blood works and imaging tests like knee X-ray to rule out arthritis or inflammation. MRI scan to study the details of the knee joint and can reveal many cases of chondromalacia patella.
It is commonly treated with rest and cold compression or placing ice and giving NSAIDS, when required. The discomfort can be reduced by doing exercises to both stretch and strengthen the quadriceps and hamstring muscles. Losing weight (if overweight). Using special shoe inserts and support devices to resolve walking issues. Wearing the right kind of sport or running shoes may help.
Hope I have answered your question. Take care. Regards, Dr Nupur K General & Family Physician
