Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Left Arm

From time to time I get a pain in my left arm. It runs from mu shoulder to about the elbow of my left arm. It feels as if there is a wire in my arm and the power has been turned on. It goes away when I massage my arm. The entire experience lasts for a minute at most. I mentioned it to our family doctor and she suggested I stop by when it was hurting. You can appreciaite I would get to her office long after the pain disapated.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to do an X-ray and electrocardiogram. If the pain disappear after you stop walking for example maybe is linked with a heart disease. I need extra information like if you have difficulty, chest pain etc. If you don't have any of these signs maybe is tendinitis or arthritis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
