Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Lower Back

im experiencing significant pain in the lower back region approx. 3 to 4 inches to the left of the spine and just above the waist line. also seem to have a lack of energy/fatigue. this has been occuring far the past couple weeks and the pain was intense upon waking up this morning along with mild nausea. i am an automotive technician and first believed this to be muscle fatigue but the pain seems to be deeper than muscle pain and there is no tenderness at the surface. getting to a doctor is not so easy with my current work load yet the discomfort is beginning to be a destraction. any recommendations would be appreciated. thank you

Hi,

If the pain is sudden then you might need an MRI lumbar spine to get a clear diagnosis.

Please do not ignore a doctors consultation. Till the time you see your doctor, you can to avoid doing heavy physical activities and doing sudden movements at the hip and lower back. Please take a muscle relaxant spray when needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Vivek Chail, Radiologist
