I have pain along the lower buttock in both sides. In the morning upon getting out of the bed, the pain is horrible and I can hardly walk to the bathroom . When finished I walk with pain to my walker and begin to walk down my long hall . The pain decreased somewhat this past summer , but now it is still hurting .. I had a fall on payment about a month ago . In March I fractured my 10 th rib . I have spinal injections every three months in S1 L4 ( I believe ) YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you should do am an x-ray of the sacral spine or better an MRI of the sacral spinal nerves to see the conditions of bones and nerves in this region and also to determine an exact diagnosis.

The corticosteroid injections you are doing in the spine reduce the inflammation and pressure and reducing pain at the same time. Surgery may be the definitive treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
