Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in the anterior region of my lower left leg. I know I have a disk that is somewhat degenerated between L5 and S1. It is not made worse with exercise and it seems to bother me alot at night. Is it possible that it is sciatic pain? I m thinking of acupuncture Thanks Connie
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
This is possible sciatic and probably is. Acupuncture may help if done by professional but in case of disc hernia, surgery may be required as well as stronger painkillers.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
