Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Lower Left Side On Back
Hi, I have a pain in the lower left side on my back. It started out right around my hip bone area and now has spread across my lower back. I didnt really feel it was muscle pain as it started out as a jabbing pain. Almost like I was being punched on the inside in that area.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in the lower left side on back you symptoms which radiates along the path of the sciatic nerve, which branches from your lower back through your hips and buttocks and down each leg. The symptoms can also occur due to muscle spasm. You should avoid doing excessive physical exercises , do not bending forward and do not work in one posture for long times . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order X-ray , MRI , CT scan and electromyography. Doctor may prescribe anti-inflammatory, muscle relaxant, tricyclic antidepressants and anti-seizure medications. Doctor may also recommend physical therapy along with steroid injection and surgery .
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
