hi there i have realy bad pains in my neck which comes about during intercourse they say post coital headache which ive bben taking diazapam for which works well but they have changed me to this norflex stuff which doesnt really work ive tried ibu and voltarin nothing seems to work apart from the diazapam that works is there anything else i can try .. been to chiropractor witch helps a bit but but doesnt take the pain away ,, my neck is very stiff atm was one side the other day pulling quite tight .. is there anything else i can take? im on warfarin and have had a aortic valve replacement st judes valve replaced at aged 38 .. im 47 now .. any suggestions many thanks nigel

Neck pain can occur due to may reasons like muscle strains , nerve compression , Injuries ,diseases, cervical spondolysis and Certain diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis . Neck pain can also occur due to sore throat or tonsillitis . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper diagnosis . Doctor will examine physically , ask you to do certain movements and may order CT scan . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant and may recommend specific exercises .Doctor may also refer you to ENT specialist for infection of throat. For now do stretching exercises , apply warm compresses on neck and start physical therapy of neck .
