Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Neck

I woke up yesterday with a crick in my neck. I hen last night my whole back started hurting. And when I swallow it feels like pills are caught in my throat. I have recently been diagnosed with UC and are taking pentagram and budeson. I was wondering if this could be a reaction

Hello,

Yes, this pain and throat problem is due to medicines that you are taking, specially Budeson (budesonide).
I would like to give you some guidelines so that you can take your treatment of UC as well as you will not face the problems you are facing due to this medicines.

Follow these guidelines:
1. Balsalazide
2. For sore throat :
You may need medicine to ease the pain. Acetaminophen or ibuprofen, are medicines for easing the pain. Sucking on throat lozenges and gargling with warm salt water will also lessen the pain. You may need antibiotic medicine if sore throat persists or increase.
You can take this - Benzocaine topical oral lozenge:
Sore throat: one lozenge dissolved in the mouth as needed.
For neck pain, Ibuprofen as needed.

Continue Balsalazide as said above. After sore throat and neck pain goes away, please continue with the regular treatment. Consult regularly regarding the status of UC.
