Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Ribs Post A Spinal Injury

I am 84yrs old in Jan. this year I tripped and fell face dowm fracturing my spine in two places, mid back (9) vibra. and last bottom vibra, bad surgery. re- admitted to another hospital. no surgery, braces to keep the spine in place., three mos. in rehab, now at home . having a lot of bloating no matter what I eat. lot of pain in rib cage, get some relief when I belch up the gas. Also have to wear a waist flexable brace. Is this bloating caused by damaged nerve? Edwin

Your symptoms seem to be related to bloating.

It can be related to the damaged nerve.

I recommend using simethicone medication.

I also recommend taking a fiber-rich diet and drink a lot of liquids.

I suggest avoiding food that can trigger the symptoms.
