Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Right Rib For A 16-year-old
My 16 year old daughter is complaining of right rib pain. The doctor ordered an x-ray which showed no fracture and would like to now do an ultrasound. She said she thinks it is a bruised rib. Why the ultrasound? Sounds like she suspects something else?

I really appreciate your function, if this is the chest pain then ultrasound is questionable, but better to get done the CT of chest instead of going for ultrasonography the pain could be due to muscular spasm only and it may not be due to rib disease hope this information helps.
