Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Upper Left Quadrant

I m 44 years old Native American female. I had gallbladder removal about 8 years ago laproscopically. The past 6 months I have been experiencing pain in the upper left quadrant and it sometimes is severe and other times a dull annoying ache. It also itches from time to time and I seem to not have to eat much in order to become full.

Hi There

After going through your query I understand your concern.

I would like to tell you that chronic abdominal pains are difficult to determine as there symptoms ranges from mild to severe, coming and going kind of pains. Some of the conditions that causes chronic pain are angina, gastritis, hiatal hernia, enlarged spleen, peptic ulcer etc. and needs a further evaluation to exclude the risk of life threatening diseases.

Kindly consult with a Gastroentrologist for proper physical and diagnostic evaluation.

Hope to have been helpful.

Kind Regards
Dr. Navneet Bansal
