Suggest Treatment For Pain In Toes

I have horrible pain in both big toes lasting about 20 seconds, stopping & starting again but sitting & elevating feet usually helps. Percocet, requip, & Neurontin does not help. I have restless leg syndrome & my legs from the knees down feel like they are asleep and to keep my balance I have started using a cane & walker. Lyrica did not help. I do have hypoglycemia at times .

Hello,

Since elevation of the feet helps, you should keep your feet on a pillow when on bed and on a stool when you are sitting. Do not strain your legs unnecessarily. Stay relaxed. Hypoglycemia is dangerous as it may cause lightheadedness / dizziness, co-ordination and balance problems. You are suggested to keep your vitals normal at all cost. Stay well fed and well hydrated. Take adequate sleep and avoid sedentary lifestyle. Do a little walking everyday but do not over strain yourself.

For relief from pain in the toes you can take narcotic medications like Tramadol, Codeine, Oxycodone. They can relieve mild to severe symptoms, but they may be addicting if used in high doses. Muscle relaxants and sleep medications also work well. Get clinically examined by a neurologist, get NCV and imaging tests done. If you have painful leg moving toe syndrome then you may have to take Pregabalin. Take vitamin B6, B12 and vitamin E rich food or supplements.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
