Suggest Treatment For Pain In Upper Back On Left Side While Sitting Or Standing Up

I fell about two weeks ago and hit my left side and upper back on the side of the bathtub. It seems like the pain is worse if anything. It hurts most when I try to stand up and sometimes when I sit down. There is a constant ache. Sometimes worse than at other times. Should I bother to go to the dr.?
