Suggest Treatment For Pain On Cracked Tooth

Hi, I have a cracked tooth next to my upper right wisdom tooth it is infected i been taking antibiotics for 4 days but the pain is getting worse and I threw up 3 time today. I have a dentist appt with an oral surgeon until next week should I wait or should i go to the er since i do have vomiting

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain if you have an infected tooth there leads to weakening of tooth due to loss of tooth structure and can lead to cracking of tooth and when the infection reaches the pulp which is central portion of tooth containing nerves and blood vessels there is inflammation of the nerves leading to pain and the condition is known as IRREVERSIBLE PULPITIS..

Vomiting after taking antibiotics is a side effect of antibiotics and you need to consult a dentist or an ER to get the antibiotic changed and pain cannot be subsided by antibiotics and you need to take antibiotics inorder to relieve pain..

I would suggest you to consult a dentist as soon as possible and get an
x-ray done and in case if the tooth can be saved root canal treatment followed by antibiotics and painkillers has to be done..
In case if the tooth cannot be saved extraction is advisable..
