Suggest Treatment For Pain On Forehead Without Any Bruise

My daughter (13 yrs) started to develop pain on the outside of her forehead. She says it feels like a bruise but there is nothing visible that would indicate a bruise or any type of physical damage. We put some ice on it (over a towel) but the pain sensation did not change. Any thoughts what this might be and what we could do to alleviate that pain? Thank you.
