Suggest Treatment For Pain On Wrist And Elbows After Being Stung By Wasps
I was stung by a wasp about 8 hours ago, My left wrist was stung and the pain is all up to my elbow. My skin is red and my left arm is aching. My fingers are a little bit numb and tingly. I have washed and iced the area but still hurt.Could you give me ant other advice. Thanks
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns...
As per your complain the symptoms of wlling, redness, pain and numbness are all due to allergic reaction to the poisnous toxin that was injected by the wasp under your skin.. You should continue icing the area but along with it take anti-allergic medications like Levocetrizine or diphenhydramine [benadryl]. Take anti-inflammatory painkiller Naproxen. Apply a steroid ointment over the red and swollen area.. Keep the area clean and do not scratch with nails it there is itching to prevent infection..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
