Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
pain while standing, but not while walking or running or sitting. am a 50 year old male; I do 9 miles a day on an elliptical machine (have been doing this for the past nine years). lift at the gym three time a week and am slightly overweight. standing back pain started march 2016 and has not gotten better since. first thought it might be sciatica or anterior pelvic tilt. Stretches for APT seemed to help a little for a while, but after a time the pain came back, full force, regardless of stretching.
Your symptoms can be related to sciatica. Other possible reasons can be muscle strain. I recommend using anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen three times a day. I also recommend to use anti-inflammatory cream for local application.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi
