Suggest Treatment For Painful And Swollen Pimple On Forehead
I think I may have an infected pimple on my forehead. i did squeeze it, shouldn't have now it is very painful and swollen and red and in the center of the pimple is a small little opening and I used peroxide and it did bubble. i have cleansed it with perioxide and have put antibiotic ointment on it and have it covered. What else should I be doing and when should I consult my physician
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful and swollen pimple on forehead which could be due to hormonal imbalce, allergic reaction, stress and clogged pores of sebaceous glands. I would suggest you to wash your forehead with Clindamycin gel. Apply cream on face rich in kojic acid and benzoyl peroxide. You should wash your face 3-4 times a day and apply salicyclic acid gel. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper prescription and drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
