Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had a sore pinky toe for a few days I thought it was from my new shoes I had worn.. But the pain became worse .. So I took a closer look .. And there is a white blister looking circle w a hole in the middle .. I was just told by my dr .. I had abnormal cells on my pap and they are scheduling a colscoscopy are the two related ?
Well, both the things that are a blister on the toe and pap smear are not at all related. The cause of the ulcer is obviously the new shoe causing shoe bite. Get the area cleaned with hydrogen peroxide, and dress it with liquid povidone-iodine on sterile gauze. Change the dressing daily. If there is any evidence of an infection like redness, pain, tenderness, pus then consult your doctor for a prescription based antibiotic. As for the abnormal cells in pap smear consult your Gynecologist for further investigations and management as per the findings, go for colposcopy and biopsy, CT scan of the pelvis and as needed to get the exact diagnosis so that proper management can be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
