Suggest Treatment For Painful Bump On Lower Stomach

I have a bump on my lower stomach area. Around the area is pain, but it s slight. I did a sit up test the other day, so I m not exactly sure if it s that. The bump is not big, about the size of a penny. The bump is tender when touch. I has the bump for a few weekd, but it was never painful until I did the sit up test the other day. Is it something serious?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have painful bump on lower stomach . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like inguinal hernia , umbilical hernia , incisional hernia , , lipoma , benign or cancerous tumor on an organ in the abdomen . I would suggest you to consult general surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order ultrasound , CT scan or physical examination to check tenderness and consistency . Doctor may recommend surgery or prescribe medicine . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .
