General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Depending on the location and exact descritpion (beet provided by a doctor), treatment will be directed. It could be a swollen and/or injured muscle tendon, bursitis, etc. In either scenariis, playing volleyball should be avoided until a diagnosis is reached. Apply a warm compress to the region several times a day and use a mild anti-inflammatory medication.

Best wishes.
