Suggest Treatment For Painful, Bumpy Itchy Rashes Across My Waistline

I have a very painful rash that extends all the way across my waistline. It is warm to the touch, bumpy, and either burns or itches. I am obese, and it seems confined to under my belly. I have had it now for months, and tried several different ointments and cremes. I have no idea what it is and what to try.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Superficial fungal infection will be the possible cause. As a first-line management you can apply topical antifungals like clotrimazole for symptomatic relief.

If lesion persists better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated. An antihistamine like Cetirizine can provide symptomatic relief from itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
